Service Description
Description : "Hands on" basic fire starting and fire maintenance course using materials found in the Northern Ontario environment . This course is designed to introduce students to the complete skill of fire, not just fire starting . This course is designed for persons new to spending time in the bush or seasoned campers, hikers or hunters looking to hone and improve their fire starting and fire maintenance skills . Ignition sources for this course are open flame (lighters and matches) and sparks (magnesium flint and steel) Instructor : Mike Paquette author of "Fire : My Trail of Learning" , 35+yrs of primitive fire starting , 13 yrs. as a search and rescue coordinator and life long bush person . Participants meet at the Tim Hortons in Capreol(29 Reg. Rd.84, Capreol) at 0900am.
