Camping, Hiking, and Skills Weekend

Service Description

Camping Weekend in a Bush Area near Kumska Lake, Ontario with Hiking and Skills activities. Participants will meet at the Hanmer Valley Shopping center lot(5085 Reg. Rd.80, Hanmer, Ont.) near the northwest entrance for 4:00 pm Friday. Once everyone is accounted for participants will be led to the campsite where they will be assigned a tent (Wall tent with woodstove or Cabelas 6 man guide tent depending on conditions) where they can stow their gear and spend the next 2 nights. Efforts will be made to keep groups, friends or family members together but due to space limitations there will be no guarentees. Once their gear is stashed a "Meet and Greet" around a campfire will take place where guides will orient campers and lay out the activities for the next 2 days. Participants will be required to participate in camp maintenance chores after breakfast each morning ie. wood gathering and processing, clean up, water collection where required. During the next 2 days participants can participate in bush walks and skills activities at their discretion or just relax, socialize and take in the views. The event terminates Sunday at 4:00 pm. at which time guides will lead participants back to the Hanmer Valley Shopping Center so nobody gets lost.
